Catholic Charities-OKC staff assists with Afghanistan refugee processing in Virginia

Three staff members from Catholic Charities of Oklahoma City are assisting with the processing of Afghan refugees at Fort Lee in Virginia as the crisis in Afghanistan  continues to unfold.

Patrick Raglow, executive director of Catholic Charities of Oklahoma City, said his agency, in partnership with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and U.S. government agencies, is providing assistance to help Afghan evacuees complete their processing in Fort Lee, Virginia, before they travel on to their final destination.

He said the federal government has not yet indicated that any Afghan refugees will be relocated to Oklahoma, although that could change and Catholic Charities will be ready and willing to assist them.
