Oklahoma is on the national stage as the abortion debate continues.
Gov. Kevin Stitt was on Fox News on Sunday, warning Native American tribes not to create safe havens for abortions.
Stitt is defending the state’s strict abortion law but he is also calling out tribal clinics that could find loopholes.
More than half of Oklahoma is within tribal lands and it’s unclear if the state can enforce abortion bans on those lands.
During that interview on Fox News, Stitt told Shannon Bream that Native American tribes are likely at odds with such a law.
