Oklahoma Republican lawmakers eye abortion restrictions in new legislative session

The fight to end abortion continues for Oklahoma Republican lawmakers.

Last year, Oklahoma passed five laws restricting abortions. Three of those laws were blocked by the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

This legislative session, expect new bills intended to restrict abortions in the state.

One potential bill would make abortion a felony, and doctors could face imprisonment or a fine.

Another, similar to the controversial Texas bill, would allow Oklahomans to sue doctors who perform abortions and individuals who aid in abortions.
