Congressman Steve Russell joined a roundtable discussion in Oklahoma City Thursday focused on the future of DACA recipients. Russell supports a permanent solution from Congress to keep the DACA program going and preventing the deportation of thousands of people who were brought to the U.S. by their families without documentation.
The discussion was held by FWD.us Oklahoma Coalition which is a bipartisan organization started by leaders in the tech and business community. It promotes immigration and criminal justice reform as a means to keep the U.S. competitive in the global economy.
During the discussion, Aspiring Americans program director Luis Hidalgo said Congress has to fix the DACA problem.
