Union parent sues district, alleging failure to protect daughter from bullying

The mother of a Union High School student is standing up for her daughter.

She filed a lawsuit against the district, claiming Union Public Schools failed to protect her daughter from repeated bullying.

“I don’t want any more attention on my daughter,” the mother told NewsChannel 8, asking to remain anonymous for her daughter’s safety. “She’s had enough. She’s had enough.”

The mother said in the lawsuit that her daughter was attacked twice this school year and left bloody, bruised, and battered.

“I can’t fight this on my own,” she said. “I need to be in front of a judge, I need a judge to order that the bullying stops, I need for policy to change, and I need it to change now.”
