White House announces President Biden will meet with Pope Francis in Rome

President Joe Biden is heading to Europe later this month for the G20 Summit and UN Climate Summit (COP26). While there, the president and first lady will sit down with Pope Francis to “discuss working together on efforts grounded in respect for fundamental human dignity, including ending the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling the climate crisis, and caring for the poor.” President Biden, who is Catholic like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, rejects Church teaching on protection of the unborn.
